In a bid to sensitise the students on the environmental issues related to ozone an interschool quiz competition “Ozone Buzz” was held on October 17^th  in the school premises. Thanks to the efforts of the science department of Progressive for this wonderful show. As many 4 schools from the neighbouring places attended the competition. The quiz programme began at 11.00 am with the welcome address by Mrs.Sujithra.R, then the platform was handed over to the quiz masters Mrs.Sheeba.N and Marwa Asma Farook of science department. There were five rounds viz Ozone,Innings,Visuals,Rapid Fire, and the Buzzer round. All the team exhibited  neck and neck tight competition in each round. Finally the team from Madayi Girls Higher Secondary school walked away with the 1^st place and a cash prize award of Rs.3000/-. The 2^nd place was won by Wadihuda Higher Secondary School and received a cash award of Rs.2000/-. The principal Muhammed Sajid P.K congratulated the winners and awarded the prize money.
