The Music Department of Progressive English School celebrated World Music Day on June 21st. The program started at 1.30 p.m. with the prayer song by the school choir in the auditorium. Ms. Sheena welcomed the gathering, and The Vice Principal, Mr. Sabir V. K., inaugurated the function. The special guest, Anirudh, an alumna of Progressive English School, grabbed the attention of the audience with his magical piano performance. A squad-wise music competition was also held under the supervision of the Music Department. The Diamond Squad won the competition from all the other four groups, and Ziya Fathima, Rinsha Diya, and Muhammad Mazin enthralled the audience by rendering melodious songs. The program was concluded with a vote of thanks by the music teacher, Ms. Prajina. It was a memorable day in the hearts of the students, as they were all immersed in the beauty of music.
