The English literary club of the academic year 2023 -2024 was inaugurated on June 20, 2023, in the auditorium of Progressive English School. The inaugural ceremony was a huge success with the involvement of the honorable chief guest, the principal, the teachers of the English department, and the buds of Progressive English School. The program started with the prayer, and the welcome address was given by Ms. Shamili K, HOD of the English Department, followed by the presidential address from Ms. Sujithra R, The Principal. The honorable and respected Chief Guest, Mr. Jayesh Thadathil, Assistant Professor of English, Crescent B. Ed. College, addressed the students with the primary objective of the literary club, which is to promote and provide ample opportunity for the students to come together and improve their English language skills by participating in various activities and events. In this contemporary era, it is believed that the ability to communicate in English is a crucial skill for success in the globalized world.
